Choosing who to talk to is a strange kind of decision. You are picking a person, not a service. So here is who we are, what we each actually do, and what happens if you book.
Nikita Vashistha
Counselling Psychologist
Clinical Hypnotherapist
Certified POCSO Consultant
Nikita supports individuals across different age groups with a compassionate and evidence-based approach to mental well-being.
Nikita sits with people through stress, anxiety, low self-worth and the ordinary difficult patches that life hands out. Her style is unhurried and plain-spoken — she is not going to hand you a worksheet in the first ten minutes.
She also works with children and teenagers, with parents who want to understand their child better, and with couples trying to talk to each other again.
Over the years she has worked across hospitals, schools and community mental-health settings, and she runs workshops, webinars and awareness sessions to make support easier to reach.

How we work
What you can expect from us
There is no house method that everybody gets put through. There are a few things, though, that hold true whoever you end up sitting with.
We go at your pace
Nothing is pulled out of you before you are ready. If you want to spend the first session talking about work and nothing else, that is a real session and it counts.
Plain language, always
No jargon, no acronyms, no worksheets handed over in the first ten minutes. If we use a word from the textbook, we will explain what it means in ordinary language.
You are a person, not a case
We are not going to sort you into a category. What matters is what your life actually looks like on a Tuesday, and what you would like to be different.
We say when something is outside what we do
If what you need is medical care, medication or a psychiatric opinion, we will tell you plainly and help you find the right person. We would rather do that than keep you in the wrong room.
Online or in person
Plenty of people find it easier to talk from their own home, and that works perfectly well. If you would rather sit in a room with someone, we can do that too.
Before you book
What a first session is actually like
Nobody tells you this part, so here it is in plain words. If anything below still worries you, you can ask us before you book — that is a completely normal thing to do.
How long it lasts
A session is 1 hour. It usually starts with an ordinary conversation rather than a form. You will not be interviewed.
What it costs
₹1,000
Every counselling session is the same ₹1,000 for an hour, whatever you bring to it. Workshops are priced separately, depending on the group and the format — just ask and we will work it out.
Sessions run in English and Hindi. Online (video call)
You do not need to prepare anything
No notes, no history written out, no list of what is wrong. If you get here and cannot find the words, that is a perfectly normal way to start and we will work with it.
You can stop at any time
You can pause, change the subject, or end the session early. You can decide not to come back and you do not owe anyone an explanation. You are not signing up for a course of anything.
You will not be diagnosed or labelled
We are a counselling practice. We do not diagnose or certify mental illness, and we will not hand you a condition to carry around. If what you need is medical care or a psychiatric opinion, we will say so honestly and help you find the right person.
What stays in the room
What you say in a session stays between you and the person you are speaking to. We do not discuss you with your family, your employer or anyone else without your say-so.
There is one limit we have to be straight with you about, and we would rather you read it here than hear it for the first time in the room.
Please read this first.
If a child tells us they have been sexually abused, Indian law (the POCSO Act, 2012) requires us to report it to the authorities. We cannot keep that confidential. We will always explain this clearly, and we will support the child and the family through the process.
That limit exists to protect children. It is not there to catch anybody out, and we will always explain it clearly before it could ever apply.
Out in the world
We also run workshops and outreach
Beyond one-to-one sessions, we work with schools, workplaces and community groups — on habits, emotional support, handling conflict, and children’s wellbeing. It is a good part of how we think about this work: support that reaches more than one room at a time.
